BARRETT LEADS THE COMPETITION ON DAY ONE

Oliver Barrett, a HSC 2022 graduate from NSW leads the field in the CCI3*Dressage after day one and is also leading in the contest for the Bates Young Rider Championship which will be announced on Sunday.

"My horse Special loves the Dressage and has been in top form, so to have a win today was quite a good feeling. The Cross Country course looks immaculate and I love Cross Country. Galloping through the city - it doesn't get any better. To have the opportunity to ride here is something I am really looking forward to," said Barrett.

Adelaide Equestrian Festival Chairman Greg Rolton said “What a fantastic start to this weekend’s competition. It was great to see our 3-star competitors perform so well in our stunning parklands today. We can’t wait to see the competition continue over the next 3 days and are thrilled to share that we have already surpassed 25,000 (2019 full event numbers) on day one of our festival.”

“There are still tickets available online and we encourage everyone to come and be part of this exciting event.”
